Jennifer Tharp, Ph.D
Dr. Jennifer Tharp is the assistant dean of student academic services and director of student success at The King’s College in New York City. Dr. Tharp founded the Office of Student Success at King’s in 2014 and serves students and faculty by leading academic advising, academic support, the first-year experience and the campus-wide retention strategy. Dr. Tharp teaches design thinking for higher education and coaches students in vocational wayfinding. Dr. Tharp also teaches at the graduate level and consults nationally in the area of student success.
Matt is the director of career development at King’s where he helps prepare students to build compelling careers that help them get the most out of their work and make a positive difference in the world. He also develops strategic partnerships with employers to generate opportunities for students to work and intern at amazing companies throughout the city.
Matt is author of the best-selling book What’s Best Next: How the Gospel Transforms the Way You Get Things Done and speaks and consults nationally on career design, leadership, productivity, and theology. Prior to King’s he worked in product management, website strategy, marketing, and non-profit leadership. He lives in Manhattan.
